The Liberty Language Services Proficiency Test is one of the industry’s most convenient ways to prove your fluency. Instead of a standardized written exam, you take an oral exam to gain a professional qualification that demonstrates your working language fluency.
Take your language proficiency test online. Upon passing this online language proficiency test, you’ll receive a certificate as evidence of your language fluency. We offer proficiency tests for English as well as over 70 other languages. Our test assesses listening comprehension as well as speaking/interpreting ability (grammar, syntax, flow).

How much time do you have to access the course?
To complete the Professional Medical Interpreter (PMI), you have access for 60 days. To complete the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) course, you have access for 30 days.
What is the minimum passing score for the Language Proficiency Test?
You need to pass with a minimum score of 80% which is S-3 on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) that corresponds to the Professional Working Proficiency.
How many attempts do we get for the Language Proficiency Test?
For the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) you have one attempt. If you need one more attempt, one is given free of charge. For the Professional Medical Interpreter (PMI) test, you get two attempts.
