How do I answer Language Proficiency Test questions?
You listen to the recording on our learning management system and either respond or interpret in your given language. A Microphone is required.
How much time do you have to access the course?
To complete the Professional Medical Interpreter (PMI), you have access for 60 days. To complete the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) course, you have access for 30 days.
What is the minimum passing score for the Language Proficiency Test?
You need to pass with a minimum score of 80% which is S-3 on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) that corresponds to the Professional Working Proficiency.
How many attempts do we get for the Language Proficiency Test?
For the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) you have one attempt. If you need one more attempt, one is given free of charge. For the Professional Medical Interpreter (PMI) test, you get two attempts.
