Translation FAQ's

  • How do I get a free translation quote?

    • You can ask for an estimate via the Translation Submission Form on our site. Please fill out this secure online form as accurately as possible. Liberty's team will contact you shortly thereafter to further discuss your translation and provide you with a no-obligation quote. You may also email the Translations Department directly at

    • By submitting a request, you are in no way agreeing to take advantage of our services.

  • How do you charge?

    • Prices vary based on the language, length, difficulty, and format of your texts. To receive an accurate quote, you must submit your document to the Translations Department; no prices can be agreed upon until a staff member has analyzed the source material.

  • How long does it take to complete a translation?

    • The turnaround time depends on the length of the document. Typically, there is a two-day minimum for rush translations. We have completed many assignments, some of them quite large, within tighter deadlines.

  • Who are your translators?

    • Liberty selects the best translator, familiar with current terminology in both the source and target languages, to produce an accurate translation. We work exclusively with qualified professionals who translate into their native languages.

  • What is a certified translation? Why do I need it?

    • A Certification of Accuracy is a written statement, accompanying a translation, that attests to the accuracy of a translation. These certificates are usually required for the translation of formal legal documents. The certification is made using our corporate letterhead and comes with a statement of certification (as required by some authorities). The statement is notarized by a Commonwealth of Virginia notary.

  • What is your Confidentiality Policy?

    • Liberty holds all work in the strictest confidence. All staff, translators, and editors are required to sign Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements. They must also agree not to make copies of clients' materials, and to return or destroy all materials at the end of each assignment.

  • I have an urgent translation request or question. What should I do?
