Beatriz Bass Biography

Director of Client Relations and Partnerships

Beatriz has lived in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area for over 3 decades. For the past 15 years, she worked as a legal, medical, government and conference Spanish-English interpreter/translator (bi-directional) in the Washington, D.C. area. Her work as a freelance contractor has covered state courts, immigration procedures and courts of the EOIR, military, and medical assignments. Other experience includes interpreting for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, social services, CPS (Child Protective Services in Virginia), drug enforcement, gangs, as well as Circuit and Juvenile court cases, hospitals, law firms and schools.


Her career has included working in national and international settings in the fields of International Diplomacy and Protocol, National and International Marketing and Business Development, and in Television as Assistant Bureau Chief in Washington D.C. Her last assignment was as Director of International Partnerships with a Chicago-based Cyber Security firm.


Beatriz’s skills, passions and experience lead her to enjoy tasks and challenges combining interacting with all levels of the private and public sector. She has a very dynamic and outgoing, “can-do” personality. Beatriz has the ability to multi-task, a special requirement needed to perform well as a simultaneous interpreter. She is loyal, possesses exceptional integrity, and is a problem solver and a quick thinker with a special talent to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with local, national and international audiences.


In the Washington, D.C. metro area, Beatriz has undertaken volunteer fundraising efforts for non-profits, boards and panels promoting and defending the need for better qualified language professionals to help “bridge the international communication gap.” She’s passionate about developing relationships with industry associations and forming strategic partnerships with local and national language service providers.


Beatriz enjoys culture exchange, traveling, entertaining, opera, choral and organ recitals, classical music, cooking, the beach and her family.
